Christmas Eve/Christmas Day 2011

This was our 3rd Christmas together, but only our 2nd as a married couple. We are still trying to figure out what traditions our little family will do. We both enjoyed the traditions our family had growing up. Chris’s family would watch movies and have a ton of food to snack on throughout the night on Christmas eve. I grew up driving to see Christmas lights when I was a kid, or when we were older, we would have a nice tamale dinner. My Christmas Eves are hard to do here so we went with Chris’s traditions. We made a few snacks and watched the movie, Elf.

Christmas this year was on a Sunday. We still had church at 9am, but it was just Sacrament Meeting, so only an hour. We woke up and opened our stockings before church. Then we came home from church to open the presents from under the tree. Here are a few pics of what we got.

Later that afternoon, we had our friends, the Olsons, over for Christmas dinner and games. We had a great time despite being away from family for Christmas.

  1. You guys made quite the haul! I forgot about the Encore game...when we lived in Phoenix as kids we would get together and play games with your family (Travis and I played but you guys and my little sisters would play upstairs) and your Dad ROCKED at that game, it was crazy! Funny the things ya remember from growing up :)
